Unit Pelayanan Terpadu (UPT)
Unit Pelayanan Terpadu (UPT) diresmikan pada tanggal 28 Desember 2007, dengan Peraturan Bupati Kuantan Singingi Nomor 13 Tahun 2006 tentang Unit Pelayanan Terpadu dan Keputusan Bupati Kuantan Singingi Nomor 190 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pedoman Unit Pelayanan Terpadu.
Unit Pelayanan Terpadu Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi dilaksanakan dengan pola pelayanan terpadu yang bukan merupakan organisasi struktural, tetapi berbentuk Unit Pelayanan Terpadu yang memberikan pelayanan rekomendasi dan perizinan secara terpadu pada satu tempat, dimana kewenangan masih berada pada masing-masing satuan kerja sesuai kewenangan yang diberikan Bupati.
Tenaga (Pegawai) yang ditugaskan di Unit Pelayanan Terpadu dinilai dan usulkan oleh tim pembina dan pengawas kepada Bupati untuk ditetapkan dengan salah satu kriterianya adalah bahwa tenaga/ pegawai dimaksud adalah berasal dari unit kerja yang selama ini melaksanakan pelayanan rekomendasi dan perizinan.
Unit Pelayanan Terpadu dipimpin seorang koordinator yang berada dan bertanggung jawab kepada Bupati melalui Sekretaris Daerah.

Dengan keluarnya Peraturan Pemerintah No. 41 Tahun 2007 Tentang Organisasi Perangkat Daerah, Unit Pelayanan Terpadu (UPT) berubah menjadi Kantor Pelayanan Perizinan Terpadu mulai Januari 2009 berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 5 Tahun 2008 tentang Organisasi & Tata Ruang Kerja Lembaga Teknis Daerah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi.

Badan Pelayanan Terpadu dan Penanaman Modal dibentuk berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 03 Tahun 2013 tentang Perubahan atas Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Nomor 05 Tahun 2008 tentang Organisasi dan Tata Kerja Lembaga Teknis Daerah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi.
